Rourkela: A man was allegedly shot dead by his friend at Rourkela .the police said today. Birendra Kumar Singh (45) died on the spot when he was shot at by one of his friends at Kuanramunda late on Saturday night, the police said.

The incident happened when Singh, a security guard in charge of a private company, was drinking liquor with the suspected person in a roadside dhaba.

The suspect shot a bullet on Singh`s forehead after a hot exchange of words during drinking liquor, sources said.
