Malkangiri: A man, who allegedly practised black magic, was killed by three persons in Odisha's Malkangiri district for not teaching the skill to one of the accused, police said today.

"All the three accused were arrested after the body of Nanda Muduli was recovered from a nullah from Gadagurei village in Chitrakonda area today," Inspector-in-Charge of Chitrakonda police station, Debendra Biswal said.

He said one of the accused, Bijay Khara of a nearby village wanted to learn black magic from Nanda Muduli, who kept on postponing the learning programme for a long time, leading to a dispute between the two over the issue.

Khara along with two other accused - Kesab and Dhanu - hatched a conspiracy to kill Nanda and the trio killed him using sharp weapons and iron rod yesterday, the IIC said.

After recovery of Nanda's body, the three accused were arrested today and further investigation was in progress, police said.
