Man killed, accused surrenders to police

The deceased was identified as Prabhakar Das of Pataliguda village in Aska police station limit.

The accused, identified as Subala Jena, surrendered before the police after killing Prabhakar by hitting him with an iron rod last evening, they said.

"We came to know about the incident only after the accused person surrendered before the police," said inspector in charge, Aska police station SC Buruda.

Exact cause of the incident was yet to be ascertained. But police suspected the incident might have occurred due to previous enmity.
