Man gets life imprisonment for matricide

Ramachandra, a resident of Madhupur village under Kamarda police limits in Balasore district, attacked his mother Kamala Ojha (60) with a sharp weapon over a trivial issue on May 24, 2010, sources said.

Laxman, his younger brother was also attacked, when he tried to rescue his mother.

While Kamala died on the spot, Laxman was seriously injured.

Ramachandra Ojha had also killed his father and had been in jail for five years but he was released on bail before killing his mother.
