Nabarangpur: A petrol refill station manager was arrested on Monday for providing logistic support to Maoists in Nabarangpur district, police said. Acting on information provided by ultras arrested recently, police nabbed the man at Raighar in the naxal-hit district, Superintendent of Police Brajesh Ray told reporters.

A police team raided his house and also seized eight made in China walkie-talkie sets and a few mobile sim cards meant for Maoist cadres, he said. The sets were meant for sale in the USA only and are capable of making radio links upto 50 km range, he said.

The man had been in the Maoist logistic support chain for the last one and half years, the SP added.
