Malkangiri: “We need peace”, “Malkangiri district wants love and peace from you”....Hundreds of placards bearing these peace-invoking messages by students, government employees, tribal leaders, bureaucrats and common people were taken around the Malkangiri town last evening urging peace from the red rebels. The candle march which started from Malkangiri bus stand was accompanied by district collector and culminated at DNR play ground.

The peace rally asked the extremist groups to leave the path of violence and engage themselves with the district’s developmental activities.
