Madhabilata death case: NCW member starts probe in Puri
Soon after arriving in Puri, WaliKhanna held discussions with Additional District Collector, Deputy Collector and Chief District Medical Officer at Circuit House here, said sources.
The meeting was also attended by Puri DSP, Inspector-in-Charge of Government Railway Police (GRP) station and a Crime Branch investigating official.
The NCW member however left for Brahmagiri soon after the meeting to discuss the matter with Madhabilata’s family members.
“Right now I am leaving for Brahmagiri to talk to the family members of the deceased doctor,” said WaliKhanna.
“Our inquiry has just begun. We'll submit the report in 10 days and give recommendations to the State Government,” she added.
WaliKhanna is also scheduled to visit Malatipatapur railway station where the body of Madhabilata was recovered.
Earlier on October 12 last year, Ayush doctor Madhabilata Pradhan left for the hospital and never returned to home. Later, body of the doctor was found at Malatipatapur railway station.
The State Government had ordered a Crime Branch probe into the incident on November 6 last year.
