Puri: Member of National Commission for Women (NCW) Charu WaliKhanna on Thursday started investigation into the mysterious death of Ayush doctor Madhabilata Pradhan whose body was found on the railway tracks at Malatipur in Puri on October 12 last year.

Soon after arriving in Puri, WaliKhanna held discussions with Additional District Collector, Deputy Collector and Chief District Medical Officer at Circuit House here, said sources.

The meeting was also attended by Puri DSP, Inspector-in-Charge of Government Railway Police (GRP) station and a Crime Branch investigating official.

The NCW member however left for Brahmagiri soon after the meeting to discuss the matter with Madhabilata’s family members.
