Bhubaneswar: Taking a serious note of the five hospitalised members of Lower Suktel Action Committee (LSAC) who were on a relay hunger strike in Bolangir, the committee decided to meet on Sunday to plan out their future course of action.

“We have invited intellectuals and members of several social organizations for a meeting today to decide our next course of action. Since our stir, demanding immediate start of Lower Suktel Irrigation Project (LSAP) construction work has already entered fifth day and the state government seems to be heedless on the matter, we want to take an immediate step,” said Suman Kumar, a committee member.

Meanwhile on Friday Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik chaired a review meeting on the project issue.

“The Chief Minister has assured to convene a high level meeting very soon to sort out the issue. Delegates of the displaced would also be invited to the meeting,” informed Bolangir MLA Anang Uday Singhdeo.
