Bhubaneswar: A low pressure area has formed over the south-eastern Bay of Bengal, the Met department said today. However, the weather department predicted that it is not likely have any effect on Odisha.

There are no chances of rain across the State till next week so farmers have been asked not to panic over the weather condition, informed sources.

"There will be no impact of the low pressure on Odisha for next 5 days," Indian Meteorological Centre's Bhubaneswar regional director, H R Biswas informed.

On the other hand, the effect of the cold wave is likely to remain normal for the next 7 days, Biswas added.
