Puri: Sin in holy land again! Days after the Ram temple near Dakhina Dwara (south gate) of the Puri Srimandir was looted, a minor boy on Wednesday decamped with lakhs of rupees from ‘Annadana Attika’ office near the North Gate of the 12th century shrine.

“Few notes have been recovered from the spot and it has been found that a small kid who had previous experience of carrying out theft has looted so from the office,” said Dash.

According to sources, gate of the ‘Annadana Attika’ nearby the North Gate of the temple was found broken today morning. Singhadwar Police and scientific team later arrived at the spot and made an investigation. Later they confirmed the loot worth lakhs of rupees from the office.

On the other hand, senior servitors have raised questions about the security and safety of the temple and blamed the temple administration for the incident.

“The security is so lax that the looter managed to sneak into the office unnoticed. Although the exact amount of cash looted is not clear, we hope the police wil help us to nab the miscreants,” said president of Suar Mahasuar Nijog Damodar Mahasuar.

On April 2, unidentified miscreants allegedly looted the donation box of Ram temple near Dakhina Dwara (south gate) of the Puri Srimandir.
