Looking to create new political base in Odisha: Bijoy Mohapatra

Bhubaneswar: After parting ways with the BJP, Senior leader Bijoy Mohapatra is looking for a fresh start by creating a new political base in Odisha politics. In a Facebook post, Mohapatra clarified why he quit BJP and shared his future plans.

Bijoy elaborated on how he was humiliated by the BJP members.

“We cannot measure our height while standing on a haystack. People are aware of it but can’t judge it well. All I can say that we have to create a new political identity,” said Mohapatra.

Commenting on Dilip Ray, who also quit the party along with him, Mohapatra said that Ray will discuss with his supporters after returning from abroad and decide his next course of action.

Reacting to the statements of Bijoy Mohapatra, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that he can only express sympathy.

Pradhan said “As an Opposition party, we need to point out the irregularities committed by the ruling-BJD government. Rather than expressing sympathy towards his disappointment, I have nothing else to say.”
