Koraput: Lawyers of Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada and Nabarangpur districts have come together to intensify their agitation for a permanent bench of Orissa high court at Jeypore in Koraput district.
The lawyers, who met at Jeypore on Wednesday, have formed a steering committee with representatives from the four Bar Associations.
They have decided to observe a bandh in the four districts on September 4, a steering committee member said.
The lawyers of district Bar Assocation, Jeypore, are currently on a relay strike and have been boycotting courts since August 23.
"Political parties, trade unions and various other organisations have extended their support to our agitation for a permanent high court bench," convener of the steering committee Trinath Singhal, said.
