Nayagarh: Khandapada Bar Association in Nayagarh district on Sunday condemned the recent face off between a scribe and a lawyer on the premises of Khandapada court and demanded arrest of the concerned scribe.

The lawyers' body also threatened to launch a cease-work agitation if its demand to arrest Satyajit Mohapatra, the scribe, is not fulfilled. "The journalist should be arrested as early as possible and if our demand is not fulfilled, we will begin a joint cease-work agitation along with Bhapur and Nayagarh Bar Associations," informed Secretary of Khandapada Bar Association, Sangram Keshari Mishra.

Statement of the scribe over the incident could not be attained.

Earlier on Friday, a scuffle ensued between Satyajit and Sangram when the former was allegedly recording video of a lawyer cautioning a cop for not wearing seat belt while driving the police van. While video of the incident had gone viral on social media, both of them had filed two separate written complaints against each other with the local police.
