Labour & Employees’ State Insurance Department Included In Odisha Govt’s ‘Mo Sarkar’

Bhubaneswar: The Labour and Employees’ State Insurance Department has been included in the Mo Sarkar initiative of the Odisha government. The announcement regarding the inclusion came on Wednesday during a special function organised at the Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.

Expressing satisfaction over the development, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said, “It is a step forward in the empowerment of workers of our State at various levels. Every worker coming to a public office would definitely return with happy memory.”

State Labour & ESI Minister Susant Singh expressed hope that the initiative will make the welfare schemes more efficient and labour friendly. Similarly, Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy said that Mo Sarkar has exposed government employees to tighter scrutiny and all the officers have succeeded in their endeavour. “The government is getting very good feedback from the beneficiaries and the general public,” he said.

During the function, 5T Secretary V K Pandian interacted with District Labour officers of Nuapada, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Jagatsinghpur, Gajapati and Kalahandi.

Speaking during the event, the 5T Secretary said, “It is a challenge for government officials to improve the perception of the general public about their concerned departments.”
