Kendrapara: Vigilance sleuths today conducted simultaneous raids on the property of Kendrapara Reserve Police constable Trilokyanath Jena on charges of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Sources said three teams of Vigilance comprising seven officials led by Vigilance DSP Surendra Nath Raiguru conducted searches in three different places.

The anti-graft officials reportedly raided Jena’s houses at Shrutipur under Madhubana area and Miripatna and his in-laws’ house at Barahilo in Kendrapara district.

During the raid, the sleuths seized the ‘patta’ of his house at Shrutipur. The officials also found ornaments, passbooks of different banks, a passport and documents related to several other plots in many places.

However, the Vigilance officials said that the exact amount of disproportionate assets will be known only after completion of raids and proper assessment of Jena’s property in detail.
