Koraput: Odisha’s N Ravi Kumar, who recently made it to the hot seat of Sony TV’s popular quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 10’ and managed to win a hefty sum of Rs 25 lakh, termed his experience in the quiz show as a dream come true.

After reaching his home in Koraput, Ravi Kumar, in an exclusive interview with Surjya Panda of OTV credited his success to ‘knowledge’ that rules the world.

Speaking about his experience in Sony Television’s reality show, Kumar said, “This is a dream come true. Sitting on the hot seat and playing the game with the super hero is like I have achieved the result of my meditation of last 18 years.”

I am very happy for this lifetime experience, said an excited Kumar.

A resident of Damanjodi in Koraput district, Kumar is currently working as an employee of National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO).

Speaking about his memorable moment with megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Kumar said, “When he asked me about my studies, I said that I failed in B.Sc and later took up a technical course in Koraput. Bachchan Ji too revealed that he had also failed in Physics in graduation and his career matches with me. I was extremely overwhelmed when a superstar like Big B compared his life with me.”

Further crediting his knowledge and reading habit for his success, Kumar said, “All questions in the show are based on what we study from Class I to X. Whatever we read, we should read it carefully and that’s the only thing that will actually help in building our life and career.”

It is ones knowledge that gives one his right, he added.

Kumar was correct in answering 13 questions; however, with all lifelines exhausting, he had to quit the show while facing the 14th question for Rs 50 lakh. Ironically, his answer for that question was found to be correct later.

Ravi was accompanied by his wife during the show while he says he is proud being the first contestant from Odisha to win Rs 25 lakh in the ongoing season of KBC.
