Cuttack: The Orissa High Court today sought reply from the Odisha government over the use of contingency fund for implementation of KALIA scheme. Earlier today, a case was filed in the court opposing the move of the State government, which has drawn money from the contingency fund to finance the recently-launched KALIA scheme.
According to sources, the petition termed the use of contingency fund for the KALIA scheme by the State government, ‘illegal.’ Admitting the case, the court has sought reply from the Chief Secretary, Finance and Agriculture department secretaries within four weeks.
According to reports, an amount of nearly Rs 735 crore will be used from the contingency fund for KALIA scheme for which the Finance department has already given its approval.
