Koraput: Jeypore town Congress unit president Narendra Mohanty on Monday alleged that he was being harassed by the police allegedly at the behest of school and mass education minister Rabi Narayan Nanda, who denied it.

Mohanty alleged that he was being targetted by Nanda for showing black flags during Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's visit to Koraput on October 4. He claimed that the IIC of Koraput town police station S C Raiguru came to arrest him last Sunday and tried to intrude into his residence but left only when mediapersons arrived.

Denying the allegation Nanda said, "No police action has been taken on my direction."

Mohanty, former Koraput MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati and few Congress workers were arrested on October 4 for showing black flags to the chief minister, but were released on personal bonds.
