Bhubaneswar: Following the request of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar today extended the registration date for the students of Odisha by five days.

Earlier in the day today, CM Naveen urged the Centre to extend the registration dates of Joint Entrance Examination – Advanced by at least 10 days in view of the massive destruction caused by the extremely severe cyclone Fani and the ongoing internet connection issue students in the State have been facing.

He further informed that the IIT Bhubaneswar will help the JEE (Advanced) aspirants in Odisha for online registration as it has fully functional internet connection.

The online registration process for JEE Advanced has already begun from May 3 and will continue till May 9. The JEE 2019 Advanced Examination is scheduled to take place on May 27. This year, the examination will be conducted by IIT Roorkee.
