Bhubaneswar: Breaking his silence on the regular door-knockings of BJD near CEO Odisha over his 2014 poll affidavit, BJP National Vice-President Baijayant 'Jay' Panda today slammed the ruling party stating that he had not concealed anything in his affidavit. He further clarified that all the details of his income sources had been included in the last affidavit which is why the Orissa High Court has issued interim stay order in connection with the false poll affidavit case filed against him.

"I don't know whether they have read the affidavit or not, but a false case was lodged against me. In my last affidavit, all details of my income sources had been included, which is why their case against me had been stayed by the Court. In this affidavit as well, all details have been included," stated the BJP MP candidate from Kendrapara.

Further taking potshots at the BJD, Panda said, "Not me, but the ruling-party chief (Naveen Patnaik) should clarify whether he has mentioned about being interrogated by the CBI in his affidavit."

It is pertinent to mention here that Odisha CM Naveen had allegedly shown undue favours by allocating 98 coal blocks to a mining company during his stint as Union Minister of Steel & Mines under the then NDA government. Recently, an impleadment application was also filed in the Supreme Court, seeking expedition of the CBI investigation in a coal block allocation case in which an inquiry was pending against the CM.
