Over a dozen of them started a marathon towards Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik's residence Naveen Niwas in Bhubaneswar after the two-month-long protest by locals demanding renovation of the stadium cut no ice with the district administration. 

As per reports, the garments and furniture of Gopal Chandra Sahu’s house in Govindpur village are allegedly catching fire in the last few days without any reason. The ‘spontaneous fire’ has not only resulted in the loss of property, it has forced the locals to call a black magician to prevent such a phenomenon.

Prahllad Nayak, a resident of Purunapani died in an accident on December 7. Police were clueless about the death. The family members of the deceased brought the body from the hospital and later buried it. The post-mortem of the body was not conducted.

Tension prevailed on the premises of Panikoili Government School in Jajpur district, where the exam for the National Means cum Merit Scholarship 2023 (NMMS) was held, after the parents of the examinees created ruckus, alleging ‘discrepancies’ in question papers. 

An elephant, after separation from its herd, strayed into Dasrathpur some days ago. The animal was first spotted causing havoc in paddy and vegetable fields in Kuanrpur. As it went on a damaging spree, people panicked and fumed over large-scale damages to crops. They sought help from the Forest Department.

As per reports, the family from Bhadrak was going to Puri in an auto-rickshaw to avail darshan of Lord Jagannath when the mishap occurred.

The skeletons were recovered and sent to the district headquarters hospital in Jajpur town for post-mortem. 

The incident had taken place at Nimapali (Surisahi) under Kalinganagar Police limits on July 20, 2020. Some residents used to suspect that Shaila Balmuj and his wife Sambhari Balmuj were practicing sorcery.

The accused dentist has been identified as Dr Nigmananada Khatua, who is running a clinic in Mahaveer Vihar in Jajpur town. 

A Diwali rocket caused a huge fire at an apartment in Sambalpur on Sunday night. As per reports, fire broke out at the third floor of Shyama Vatika apartment in Sambalpur’s Khetrajpur area after a stray Diwali rocket ended up inside the apartment.

The petitioner stated that due to poverty, unhygienic lifestyle and lack of nutritional food, people residing in Jajpur’s Kaliapani are suffering from illness.
