Bhubaneswar: Sangram Keshari Mohanty, son of Jana Adhikar Manch convener was remanded in Berhampur jail for three days on Wednesday.

Sangram was produced before JMFC in Sorada for trial in five different cases after he was brought from Paralakhemundi jail where he was lodged after being arrested on December 5. His link in several Maoist related activities was alleged.

According to sources, Sangram was accused of planting landmines at Talapatma village under Badagada police limits which the police recovered In September 2011. Also, he was allegedly involved in the blast of cellphone towers at Goudagotha and Baroda under same police limits.

In December last, Mohona police in Gajapati district had arrested Sangram on charges of Maoist activities and seized arms, ammunition and Maoist literature from him.
