Jagatsinghpur, the smallest district of Odisha in size, is known for its rich cultural heritage and contribution to socio-economic development. This district has got a total population of 11, 36,971 including 577,865 male and 559,106 female as per 2011 census. Famous Paradeep port and oil refinery is another high light of the district.
Naugaon police had arrested Sajan Das while he was trying to loot a house in Niali area. He was first lodged in Alipingal jail and then shifted to Choudwar jail.

Somalika had earlier alleged that she received threat calls from an unknown person asking her to withdraw the complaint against the legislator.
Somalika, who has accused Das of betrayal, has handed over the call recording to the media and said she will lodge a police complaint in this regard.
