Jagatsinghpur, the smallest district of Odisha in size, is known for its rich cultural heritage and contribution to socio-economic development. This district has got a total population of 11, 36,971 including 577,865 male and 559,106 female as per 2011 census. Famous Paradeep port and oil refinery is another high light of the district.
During a public contact programme held in Dhamnagar of Bhadrak district recently, former MLA Muktikant Mandal dropped broad hints about Sanjay Das, an aspiring BJD leader, to lead this Assembly segment in the days to come.

On Wednesday, Sahu visited his uncle’s place at Gadeigiri and allegedly attacked his grandmother with a sharp weapon. His grandmother died on the spot. The exact reason behind the attack is still unclear.
