Rayagada: The bail plea of suspended school inspector Netrananda Dandasena, who is in jail in connection with the murder of Itishree Pradhan, was rejected by the District and Sessions court here today.

Earlier, last month, the court had rejected Dandasena’s plea seeking quashing of the murder case against him. His counsel Bishnu Prasad Panda had moved the plea on April 27 on the ground that the Crime Branch has not able to prove Dandasena’s involvement in the murder of the woman teacher of Tikiri upper primary school.

Source said in the court, Dandasena had admitted to having enmity with Itishree, threatening her from his nephew’s cell phone and being in touch with former Koraput MP Jayaram Pangi. He, however, denied murdering Itishree.
