Cuttack: Two aspirants for physical education teacher alleged the irregularities in the appointment of PET teachers here.

Holding Circle Inspector of School, Cuttack Circle responsible for the negligence and malpractice in the appointment of PET teachers, two PET aspirants – one boy and girl expressed grievances while raising doubts about appointment of PET teachers for the Upgraded High School in Cuttack.

As per reports, one year before, both of them had applied for the posts of PET teachers and had their certificates verified. While they got the ranks of six and seven, they alleged that someone else was unlawfully awarded better rank automatically making him unduly more deserving.

“Some other student who was previously in the 9th or 10th merit list had 61 %, now his marks have been changed into 67%,” alleged Suryakant Tripathy, the PET aspirant.

“I have made tours to the CI office over 10 times, if in two days’ time the case is not looked into, I will end my life,” grieved Sashmita Tripaty, another PET aspirant.

While the officials in the CI of School, Cuttack Circle were not available for comment, Srikant Kumar Sahu, Additional Collector, Cuttack, said, “They have got ranks of six and seven and complain about somebody who has got the 2nd rank. We will look into the matter, and find out if any malpractice is involved.”
