This year, a total of 140 artists are participating in the festival. Sculptors from Spain, Canada, Japan, Russia, Portugal, and Sri Lanka have joined Indian artists, giving the event a grand global identity.

Tourists from various states across India are admiring the intricate artistry and creative themes displayed at the festival. Each day brings new concepts, keeping visitors engaged and curious.

The themes for the second day, ‘Marine Life’ and ‘Women Empowerment’, were brought to life through magnificent sand sculptures, earning praise from spectators and art enthusiasts.

The festival continues to elevate Odisha’s cultural and artistic pride, transforming the Chandrabhaga coast into a vibrant canvas of imagination and skill.

The five-day celebration, scheduled from 1st to 5th December 2025, also offers an enchanting blend of culture and creativity.

Visitors can enjoy spectacular classical dance performances at the open-air auditorium, set against the magnificent backdrop of the illuminated Sun Temple while the nearby Chandrabhaga beach hosts breathtaking sand art displays. 

The festival also highlights the entrepreneurial achievements of women through a dedicated exhibition space.

In parallel, the Odisha government has launched the Subhadra Shakti Mela in Konark, featuring 150 stalls managed by women’s self-help groups. The fair presents a diverse range of handicrafts, organic produce, and locally crafted products.

Officials say the initiative is designed to spotlight women-led enterprises at a global level. Introduced last year, the Subhadra scheme supports women through financial aid and platforms to enhance production, promote their businesses, and achieve economic independence.
