Indian Idol 11: Odisha girl Chelsi Behura gets ‘future superstar’ applause

Bhubaneswar/Mumbai: Chelsi is certainly not a new name in music reality show circuits as she had already made a mark as a child artiste through her mellifluousness in rendering songs of all genres while impressing judges and audience alike. The rising star contestant has done Odisha proud again by garnering applauds in the audition round of Sony’s mega singing reality show Indian Idol 11.

Chelsi Behura from Cuttack wowed judges Anu Malik, Neha Kakkar and Vishal Dadlani with her rendition of ‘Main Pareshan’ from Ishaqzaade. The judges appreciated her from the moment she began the first note with absolute command on her westernized version of the song.

“Chelsi you are the future superstar,” said Vishal Dadlani during her audition.

The 14-year-old had gone up to high levels of reality show The Rising Star and also created ripples in Indian Idol Junior when she was barely 11.

The channel has been promoting the girl's performance on its social media platforms.

The Indian Idol 11th edition begins on Sony TV this October 12 and Odisha wishes her the best of luck to emerge as the winner of the show.
