Malkangiri/Sundergarh: Normal life was thrown out of gear in Malkangiri and Rajgangpur of Sundergarh after incessant rains wreaked havoc today disrupting road communication in several parts.

According to sources, water level of Pangama river in Malkangiri has increased following incessant rain for the second consecutive day. As per reports, water is flowing four feet above the Pangama bridge snapping road communication between Malkangiri and Jeypore. Following this vehicles were stranded on both sides of the road.

Similarly, Majhiguda and Kenduguda villages were cut off from the rest of the State after a culvert was washed away near Khairaput. Some areas of Patraput were also submerged.
