The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast dry weather conditions across Odisha for the next seven days, while warning of shallow to moderate fog during early morning hours in several districts, particularly along the coastal and south coastal regions.
According to the IMD’s latest weather bulletin, foggy conditions are likely to affect visibility during early morning hours at isolated places, which may impact road traffic and early travel schedules.
Day 1 (Up to 8:30 AM, February 9):
Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at one or two places in Ganjam, Gajapati, Cuttack, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, and Puri districts. Dry weather will prevail across the rest of the state.
Day 2 (February 9–10):
Fog conditions are expected to continue over parts of South Coastal Odisha, including Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapada districts, during the early morning hours. No rainfall activity is predicted.
Day 3 (February 10–11):
IMD has predicted shallow to moderate fog at isolated locations in South Coastal Odisha, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, and Kendrapada. Dry weather is likely to persist statewide.
Day 4 (February 11–12):
Fog is expected in the early hours at one or two places in Puri, Khordha, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Ganjam, Gajapati, and Bhadrak districts, while dry conditions will continue elsewhere.
Day 5 (February 12–13):
Puri, Khordha, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh and Kendrapada districts may witness shallow to moderate fog during morning hours. No significant weather activity is anticipated.
For Days 6 and 7 (February 13–15), the IMD has forecast dry weather across all districts of Odisha, with no fog or rainfall warnings issued.

Meteorological officials have advised commuters, especially early morning drivers, to exercise caution due to possible reduced visibility in fog-prone areas. Farmers and outdoor workers are also advised to plan activities accordingly during early hours.
No weather warnings have been issued for the state during this period.
