Rourkela: Demanding ouster of the director, many students of Indian Institute of Production Management (IIPM) at Kansbahal under Rajgangpur of Sundergarh district took to streets on Tuesday.

Alleging director, Niranjan Nayak's failure in addressing various problems of the institute, the students sat in front of the main gate of IIPM.

“Whenever we approach Nayak regarding any issue of the college, instead of resolving them, he threatens us. Besides, the director has been harassing the students. Nayak is also having criminal records and we do not want him to manage the institute,” stated Sakshi Kar, a student of IIPM.

Expressing similar views, another student Sarat Bahidar demanded, “We want the removal of Nayak from this institute as he has been appointed here after a strong lobby.”

On the other hand, refuting the charges, Nayak said, “With the support from some faculties of the institute, the matter is being politicised. As the government took over the college, some persons have been unable to get benefitted like earlier following which they are creating troubles now.”
