Humane Sagar’s health condition remains critical, put on ventilator support at AIIMS Bhubaneswar

Popular Ollywood playback singer Humane Sagar has been admitted to the ICU at AIIMS Bhubaneswar after his health deteriorated sharply, hospital sources informed on Saturday. He was rushed to the emergency ward in critical condition and put on ventilator support.

Doctors said the singer has been battling severe liver complications, and multiple organs have begun to malfunction. Despite ongoing intensive treatment, his condition has shown no improvement over the past 24 hours. The next 72 hours will be crucial, medical teams say.

Humane Sagar’s mother, overwhelmed with emotion, has made a tearful appeal to the Odisha government seeking urgent assistance for her son’s treatment. Sources indicate that depending on his response to treatment, he may be airlifted to Delhi or another specialised facility outside the state.

“His condition remains very critical and he is on a ventilator support after multiple organ failures. Though the treatment is underway, there is no improvement in his health condition. I urge Odisha government and people of the State to help me for the treatment of my son,” said Sefali Suna, mother of Humane Sagar.

The singer had reportedly been suffering from liver-related ailments for the past few days, though he continued to appear in some stage shows. A prominent figure in Odisha’s film and music industry, Humane Sagar enjoys massive popularity, especially among younger audiences.

“He has been unwell for several days. He was under treatment in Cuttack and now he has been admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar. We are concerned over his health condition. I urge Odisha government to extend necessary help for his treatment,” said Gagan Bag, Humane Sagar’s uncle.

Dr Suvendu Mishra, a health expert said, “He is in the ICU of the Medicine department. His condition is critical and on ventilator support. Next 72 hours is crucial and next decision will be taken accordingly.”

While doctors continue to monitor his condition closely, fans across the state pray for his recovery.
