Holi in Cuttack gets frenzier

In Cuttack, the millennium city of Orissa, the festival of colours starts from the day before Holi — on Dola Purnima. First, people from all localities — young and old — go to Dola Mandap to offer their customary prayers and then they all in groups start playing with multi-variety colurs all day. And in the evening they take part in the kitty dinners arranged by them.

This year the Holi celebration in Cuttack becomes more colourful and frenzier. However, Commissionerate Police, Cuttack has made elaborate arrangements to ensure the peaceful celebration of Hoil in the city.
