Hold your breath Cuttack! AR Rahman to perform live in city

Bhubaneswar: Even though the entire action will be centered on the upcoming men’s Hockey World Cup at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack too will have its fair share of the razzmatazz as none other than AR Rahman will be performing live in the city as a part of the celebrations for the mega sporting event.

Confirming about the development, Rahman announced that he will be performing in the millennium city on November 28.

Though the exact venue is yet to be finalised, it is expected that Rahman will be seen in a concert either at Barabati or the indoor stadium.

It is pertinent to mention here that Rahman has composed the official anthem for the men’s Hockey World Cup which has been penned by lyricist Gulzar.

Sources said both Rahman and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will also be seen during the opening ceremony of the Hockey World Cup at Kalinga Stadium.

Earlier on Tuesday, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had unveiled the trophy for the upcoming Men’s Hockey World Cup at a special function held at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
