Bhubaneswar: Odia film ‘Hero’ was released on Friday from the stable of SK Arts and hit as many as 25 theatres across the state.

The storyline of the film goes like this — the man in the lead is an auto-rickshaw driver. Though he is an orphan himself and has experienced hard days, he takes care of some homeless children. The story takes a turn when he falls in love with the heroine while rescuing her from goondas.

Produced by Sunil Rout, it’s a family drama laced with sentimentality and has loads of action, emotion, romance, suspense and has a few interesting dog tricks.

The USP of the film is its star cast — which is Arnindam and Priya who are coming together on screen for the first time. Giving two previous hits like ‘Tu Tha Mu Jauchi Rushi,’ and ‘Tu Mo Girl Friend’ — ‘Hero’ may again spell success for Arnindam.

The star cast also includes seasoned actors like Minaketan, Prithviraj Nayak, Chandan, Kirthi, Sheela and Shaleel Mitra. Apart from brilliant performances by child artists like Shakti and Mamuni — Rana’s character played by Pintu Nanda is another attraction in the film.

The film has been directed by Dilip Panda, scripted by Sujata Rout and Dipak Kumar has composed the songs for the film.
