Bhubaneswar: With speculations rife that a conflict is brewing among the leaders of the State unit of Congress in view of 12 party MLAs meeting the high command in Delhi last week, unit president Prasad Harichandan today refuted all such claims saying that the legislators simply discussed organisational issues pertaining to party vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s Odisha visit.

Harichandan held a meeting with the 12 MLAs here today. Subsequently, a meeting of all the 16 Congress MLAs was held with the leader of Opposition Narsingh Mishra.

At a media conference held after the two meetings, Harichandan sought to clarify that the visit of 12 MLAs was a mere ‘courtesy call’ and to invite the party vice-president to visit Odisha.
