Bubaneswar: “Time has changed and no longer a king’s son has to be the next king. Anyone who is ready to do hard work with patience can reach the heights of success,” said mathematician and ‘Super 30’ founder Anand Kumar today here.

Kumar, who was in the State’s capital to promote a Hindi film, 'Super 30' based on his life, said the flick conveys a message that any youth from any strata of society can achieve success if they have the zeal and wish to do something in life.

“This story will inspire people and I am extremely happy to know that people are appreciating the movie. Students are getting inspired and developing a positive mindset. Now they have started believing that they will get success with hard work,” he stated in an exclusive interview to OTV.

Super 30 is the programme for students from not-so-sound financial background. “I keep the students at home and teach them. Most of them get admission to IITs or reputed institutes like NIT,” he said.

Asked about his experience about the film, Kumar said, “Definitely it is a new thing for me as otherwise I would have been restricted to teaching. Above all, seeing students getting inspired by the film based on my life makes me feel good,” he further stated.

Kumar, who was deprived of higher studies due to financial constraints, started Super 30 programme and provided free coaching to 30 students every year at his home. He shot to fame in 2008 when all the 30 students of the batch cleared IIT JEE examination.

The film based on Kumar’s life features actor Hrithik Roshan in the lead character. Virendra Saxena, Pankaj Tripathi, Aditya Srivastav and Mrunal Thakur are the other prominent actors who have worked in the film.
