Bhubaneswar: Odisha will depute 60 doctors, 54 pharmacists and 88 health workers from outside Puri district to provide emergency health services in Puri town during teh ensuing Ratha Yatra this year. In a review meeting today State Health and Family Welfare Minister Prasanna Acharya asked respective officials to maintain health and sanitation during the grand festival.

The government will also set up 21 emergency health centres at various places of the connecting highways to Puri town which will operate from June 18 to June 30. This apart, special health service will be provided in Puri district headquarter hospital with storage of 100 units of blood and 20 ambulances including two mobile vans.

To avoid any sort of food adulteration related issues the government has decided to press food inspector and mobile court in service.

The government has also taken steps to disinfect all the drinking water sources in primary health centres, notified area councils and municipalities of Puri district in three phases.
