Nabarangpur: Four miscreants impersonating as patients and attendants allegedly looted cash, gold ornaments and other valuables from the house of a doctor in Nabarangpur town on Friday.

According to reports, the four miscreants arrived at the house of Pradip Praharaj, a doctor at Indravati Government Hospital in the town last night and requested for some medical assistance.

When Praharaj and his wife allowed the four to enter their house, the assailants looted cash worth Rs 40,000, four mobile phones and fled the spot, reports added. As the miscreants were armed with sharp weapons, the couple reportedly did not resist the robbers.

On getting information, police rushed to the spot and have started investigation in connection with the incident.
