Goods train derails near Maliguda Station in Koraput

Koraput: A few bogies of a goods train derailed near Maliguda Station today disrupting rail traffic on the route. The mishap severely affected railway services and several passenger trains on the Koraput-Jagdalpur route had to be cancelled for today.

Koraput Station Master informed that Hirakhand Express which was on its way to Jagdalpur was halted at Koraput station and returned back to Bhubaneswar in the evening.

A relief train was sent to the spot to clear the track as soon as possible.
