Girl found hanging inside house in Bhubaneswar; police begin probe

The body of a young woman was found inside a locked house in the Palasuni Prachi Vihar area in Odisha's Bhubaneswar on Wednesday. The woman was living on rent and working at a second-hand showroom. 

Police reportedly recovered a suicide note near the body, which raised suspicion and prompted further investigation.

As per reports, the deceased girl's relatives stated that the note mentioned her concern that her family should not be troubled regarding her marriage. The family was reportedly searching for proposals, but she wrote that she did not want them to be stressed over the matter.

One of the relatives said, “She wrote in her letter that no one was responsible for her death. Proposals were being searched for her marriage, but she did not want to trouble her family, as she stated in the letter. She wrote that she did not want her family to be stressed about her marriage.”

Police Probe Underway

According to reports, the woman was found hanging. While it is suspected that she might have taken her own life, police will reportedly investigate all possible angles, including cross-verifying her handwriting with the letter.
