Gangster Tito sent to 2-day police remand in murder case

Kendrapara: Arrested gangster Syed Usman Ali alias Tito was taken on remand by Kendrapara Police for two days to elicit information in connection with a murder case.

The Kendrapara Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) court granted permission to the Town police on Saturday to take Tito on remand.

Tito was sent on remand for his alleged complicity in the murder of engineer Debasish Sahoo, who was working at a private company. Sahoo was killed on December 21 last year.

Sources said the police will probe the tender fixing allegations behind Sahoo’s murder.

Earlier in the day, the gangster was presented before the court amid tight security.

Tito’s counsel, Sangram Keshari Singh informed that the remand has been granted to the Town police from 11 AM today till 11 AM of August 6.
