Bhubaneswar: Alleging that the district administration is not following the directions of the High court, the General Administration (GA) department issued show cause notices to five district collectors on Tuesday.
In an affidavit filed before the HC, Women and Child Welfare department mentioned that the Collectors of Bhadrak, Jajpur, Sundergarh, Nabarangpur and Nuapada have been issued notices for not providing drinking water facilities at Anganwadi centres in the districts.
The affidavit was filed in connection with the ‘Dal scam’ case hearing.
However, in another affidavit, the Rural development department said that it is working on war-footing to provide drinking water facilities at 8,050 Anganwadi centres. It also sought a time frame till December 31 of this year to complete the task.
