Sambalpur: Funds will not come in the way of the development of Sambalpur, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik assured during his visit to the city on Saturday.

Patnaik inaugurated a slew of projects during his visit.

"I am glad to be in Sambalpur today for a number of welfare and development projects for the local people," said Patnaik.

Soon after arriving in the city, Patnaik inaugurated the western Odisha freedom fighters’ memorial hall and museum.

The CM addressed the gathering at a ceremony to mark the Nirman Shramik Seva week. During the ceremony, Naveen gave away work orders for pucca houses to 138 construction workers under the Nirman Shramik Pucca Ghar Yojana.

A 50-bed mother and child care hospital complex on the premises of Sadar Hospital was also inaugurated by the CM during the day.

Meanwhile, a few Congress workers were arrested near Laxmi Talkies while attempting to give a memorandum to CM Naveen Patnaik.
