Four of a family taken ill after consuming bael juice in Balasore

Balasore: At least four persons of a family residing in Hatasahi village under Oupada block here fell ill reportedly after consuming 'Bela Pana' (bael fruit juice) last night.

Soon after they complained of severe stomach-ache and started vomiting post drinking the bael juice, all of them, including two women, were rushed to the Nilagiri hospital by their relatives and neighbours.

One of the patients, Bina Pandit alleged that no doctor has attended them at the hospital.

"My nephew had prepared the bael juice. After drinking the juice, four of us suffered from stomach-ache followed by vomiting and diarrhea. We are feeling very weak and the water level in the body has gone down. Till now doctors have not examined us. Only the nurses and other staff are treating us," said Bina Pandit.
