Four Minor Boys Tied To Trees, Thrashed On Theft Suspicion

Kendrapara: Four minor boys were tied to trees and allegedly thrashed by people over theft suspicion at Nilikana village in the district late last night.

As per reports, the villagers were on their toes after several cases of theft reported from the region in the last couple of weeks. On Monday night, the villagers patrolling the road at Nilikana caught hold of one of the thieves moving around in the village. They interrogated him and managed to nab three other members of the gang.

Later, the villagers tied them to trees and informed police.

"They were stealing mobile phones, cycles and bikes from our village. They had stolen my phone and also Rs 5000 from my house. We caught them all and handed them over to police," said a villager.
