Kendrapara: Former Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda on Monday requested the High Commission of India in Malaysia Mridul Kumar to rescue three Odia youths stranded in the foreign country.

Panda in a letter to the High Commission, mentioned that the relatives of the three Odia workers who are employed with AZ Express Resources SDN BHDhad, had approached him for help.

The workers have been identified as Ashok Mallik of Badaanko and Narayan Sethi of Singiri in Kendrapara district and Tapan Kumar Baral of Anyashipur in Jajpur district.

Panda said that the three workers were allegedly promised permanent visa after 3 months of employment and a monthly salary of about Rs 25,000. However they have neither received permanent visa nor adequate salary.

Mentioning that the three workers are facing difficulty in returning to India, the former Parliamentarian has urged the High Commission to intervene in the matter and help in their repatriation.
