Rayagada: The Rayagada district administration today put a blanket ban on the visit of foreign tourists to the tribal dominated district in the wake of the abduction of two Italian tourists by left wing extremists. The district collector Nitin Bhanudas Jawale today issued an official communique in this connection. The district administration through the communique asked tour operators in the state not to take foreign tourists to the district. The ban would be in operation till further orders, the office of the district collector said. Left wing extremists have strong presence in several parts of the district.
