Cuttack: At least five pilgrims were killed and 46 others injured when a bus in which they were travelling met with an accident at Baichuan on NH-5 in Tangi area, about 20 kms from here early morning on Thursday.

The accident took place when the Puri-bound bus from Kantapada in Balasore district carrying about 51 passengers hit a vehicle from behind, police said.

All the injured persons were shifted to SCB medical college and hospital here where condition of four is stated to be critical.
