Bhubaneswar: Effecting a rejig in the bureaucracy, the Odisha government today reshuffled five collectors and appointed 2003-batch IAS Anil Kumar Samal as the Revenue Divisional Commissioner of Central Range. Samal is presently serving as the Collector and District Magistrate (DM) of Angul.

According to a notification by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, Samarth Verma, who is presently serving as the Collector and DM of Sambalpur has been appointed as the new BMC Commissioner.

Similarly, Bibhuti Bhusan Patnaik, the current Collector of Jharsuguda has been given the new role of Director, Tourism Department and Jagatsinghpur Collector Yamini Sarangi will now assume charge as Joint Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Department.

Guha Poonam Tapas Kumar who is serving as Rayagada Collector at present has been transferred as Collector of Jagatsinghpur, while Subham has been appointed Collector of Sambalpur. While OAS (SAG) Bibhuti Bhusan Das, Additional Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Department has been appointed Collector and DM of Jharsuguda; Pramod Kumar Behera will take charge as Rayagada Collector.

Manoj Kumar Mohanty (OAS) has been appointed Collector and DM of Angul.
